C2C Crochet Blanket Patterns: General Information
Welcome to the general information guide for my C2C crochet blanket patterns!
To avoid lengthy and repetitive descriptions on every single product listing, I’ve grouped together all the shared information about my C2C blanket designs right here.
All of my patterns are designed using the exact same logical structure: the essential materials, PDF format, technical tips, grid size, and working method remain constant across designs. Only a few specifics vary from one model to another, such as the total number of colors or the exact block count per color. You will find those specific details directly on each individual pattern page.
Browse through this page to learn everything you need to know before comfortably jumping into your new C2C project!
Required Materials for Your C2C Blankets
To complete my C2C crochet blanket patterns, you will need:
- 5 mm crochet hook
- Pair of scissors
- Tapestry needle (yarn needle)
- Stitch markers
- Yarn bobbins (optional, but extremely helpful for intarsia/colorwork)
- 100% acrylic yarn (100g / 3,5oz = 241 meters / 263yd)
Blanket & Grid Dimensions
Finished Throw Dimensions: 120cm / 47,24in x 160cm / 62,99in for a grid of 72 × 96 squares.
For a smaller blanket, use a finer weight yarn and/or work the pattern in mini C2C.
And if you’d like to make a larger blanket, you can use skeins with a yarn weight of 50g
/ 1,7oz = 100 meters / 109 yards.
Below, I’ve included a sizing guide that I created based on swatches made with different yarn weights.

Tips & Tricks for a Successful Project
- Take your time: This is a long project that requires patience and focus.
- Take regular breaks: Protect yourself from fatigue, strain, or careless mistakes.
- Check your work often: Frogging a few rows can set you back by several hours, so checking your progress regularly is essential. It’s easy to miss a block, forget a color change, or miss the start of the decreases!
- Maintain consistent tension: Consistent stitch tension ensures your blocks remain uniform in size, resulting in a clean and polished finish.
- Choose certified yarn: Use yarn with the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification, guaranteeing it is free from harmful substances. For children under 3 years old, opt for OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I certified yarn.
